Why Anup Joseph Should be Arrested

I have just read the latest ‘Clinical Report’ by the PA Hospital for the Mental Health Review Tribunal (MHRT). It was hand-delivered by the ‘case manager’ Nigel Lewin whom I first met in 2011 when he injected me at the Burke Street Clinic (the psychiatry outpatient clinic of the PA Hospital located next to the hospital). His job was then to inject patient after patient with depot antipsychotic drugs.

Lewin trained as a nurse in England, worked for the drug company AstraZeneca and is also the Chairman of L’Arche Brisbane. Lewin told me that the report was done by Anup Joseph, but like the last report it states that it was prepared by Lewin. I asked Lewin about this on camera last year and he said it wasn’t true and he didn’t write it. I asked him why the report said that he had. He answered that maybe the doctors didn’t want to put their names to it.I have repeatedly told Lewin as well as the “treating psychiatrists” that the report contains numerous false claims about me, my beliefs and behaviour and provided evidence of this. It also has important omissions that establish my sanity. However, they refuse to correct the misinformation, and it has been accepted as fact by a series of Mental Health Review Tribunals.

These claims include that in 2015 I showed “disorganisation” by building a moat filled with glass, a false claim by Moorooka Police, which had previously (in 2011) claimed that I was “elevated and dancing on glass”. Sounds mad! But completely untrue. I have photos and videos of the irrigation project and frog-breeding program that I have been doing (intermittently) since 2011. The hospital notes also described the small water channels I made (with a small spade) as “digging trenches” in my garden. This too was cited as evidence of mental illness.

The format of the Clinical Report has been changed since February 2020 when the MHRT supported Anup Joseph and Nigel Lewin’s recommendation to keep me on what is now (since 2016) called a Treatment Authority (TA) rather than an Involuntary Treatment Order (ITO). The ostensible reason for the change was to promote “patient-centred care” and the protection of human rights, but the PA Hospital just changed what they called them from “ITO”s to “TA”s and carried on their systematic abuse and poisoning of what they now call “consumers” rather than patients (though they also use the older term ‘patient’).

Now the report begins with “Diagnosis of mental illness/provisional differential diagnosis” followed by “Details of current mental state examination”. Here you can see a stark example of the difference between a (reasonably) competent and honest psychiatrist’s assessment and that of Anup Joseph (and his predecessors).

Joseph claimed that I have both a “primary” and a “secondary” diagnosis. The primary diagnosis is “paranoid schizophrenia” and the secondary diagnosis is “mental and behavioural disorders due to use of cannabinoids, dependence syndrome”. Any psychiatric textbook will tell you that the cardinal sign of paranoid schizophrenia is auditory hallucinations, which I have never had. The other signs are delusions and what is called “thought disorder” as well as disorganisation (the classical sign of disorganised speech is called “word salad”), blunted or flattened “affect” (facial expressions), ‘magical thinking’, paranoia and suspiciousness, lack of motivation and “downward social drift”.

I am a very open, trusting person. I am also friendly, diligent and well-organised. Despite the poisoning I have been subjected to which has left me drooling from hypersalivation, relatively anhedonic (I experience less pleasure than I used to), slurred speech and deterioration in my dexterity and coordination I remain highly motivated and productive. Far from being paranoid, I have been described as “too trusting”. I have not had a holiday for 10 years and work hard, but at home. I was prevented from earning a living (or any income from medicine) not because of “progression of mental illness” (as Joseph has claimed) or because of complaints about the standard of care I provided (by patients or medical colleagues) but because of the psychiatry profession.

Joseph has also written that I had a “blunted affect” when I was admitted to the PA Hospital last year and that I was “flagrantly psychotic”.

The notes I have written at the time and the MSE (Mental State Examination) on 3.12.2020 by Dr Greg Weppner show the falsity of these claims.

Dr Weppner has recorded:

“Appearance – neat and tidy

Speech – Normal RRTV (rhythm, rate, tone, volume). Not argumentative, irritable or hostile

Emotions – Mood ok, affect bright and reactiveThought – form, stream and content appropriate

Partial insight and judgement

Oriented in place, person and time”

This is the accepted format of an MSE, which I studied back in the 1980s. The claim regarding insight and judgement is the standard and prevalent habit of accusing anyone who denies that they are mentally ill as lacking “insight and judgement”.

This contrasts with the report of Dr Robert Hope, a senior physician who assessed me for the Medical Board of Victoria in 1998. Dr Hope wrote:

“I found him a cooperative, pleasant, very intelligent person. His prior occupations have included music composition, singing, guitar, the playing of bass and saxophone and song writing in different fields of music. Art, photography and philosophy are all interests in addition. Stamp, fossil and butterfly collections are part of his interests. This is a man of English birth and education in Sri Lanka with top performance as a student at school….”

“More recent employment was as a medical officer to Willow Lodge which is a community of 1000 people or so, predominantly poor or incapacitated. He was close to these people, sympathising with their plight and applying himself to their problems…There have been numbers of patients prepared to give written support for his proficiency in medical care. There has been no complaint over the period of time that he has worked at Willow Lodge about his performance…”

“He has written material relating to the alternative treatment of psychiatric conditions, believing that there is misuse in the application of psychotrophic drugs in many instances in psychiatry…I examined his notes in relation to his theories on the pineal gland and psychological states. The background material seemed well considered and I found no flaw in the logic though there are, like all new theories, areas of contention”.

After this supportive report from Dr. Hope I was never asked to see him again – instead I was sent to the unsympathetic psychiatrists Patrick Power and then Professor Bruce Singh, boss of psychiatry at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Singh, who was in charge of schizophrenia research at the NHMRC accused me of have a “paranoid personality” based on my “theories of conspiracy and corruption”. The NHMRC is one of the bodies i had alleged were corrupt in diagrams in my book “The Politics of Schizophrenia” which he had read.

Anup Joseph’s report mentions my father several times but does not mention that he (and my sister Shireen) worked at the PA Hospital. The first two of these references have been retained from previous reports by Justin O’Brien in 2015:

“On 14/8/2015 he was brought for involuntary assessment in response to a JEO [Justice’s Examination Order] – he has been abusive towards his family and made allegations about his father being involved in a terrorist group”.

Prior to this the report says “ITO was revoked on 28/07/2015” but does not say why or by whom. What happened is that Nigel Lewin brought a psychiatrist by the name of Kelly Schilling to my house who assessed me for 45 minutes and concluded that I was “eccentric not psychotic”. She said that the ITO could not be justified and took me off it.

I foolishly told my mother that I had been taken off the ITO and she told my father who got her to call the hospital and say that I was “again” making allegations that he supported the Tamil Tigers. The hospital told her that since I had been taken off the ITO the only way she could get me assessed was to take out a JEO. My father then drove my mother to the Holland Park Magistrate’s Court to get the JEO. That’s why I was locked up again and put back on an ITO.

What follows in the report is a misrepresentation of the facts regarding subsequent incarcerations on 31/08/2015 and 22/09/2015 when I was locked up under Justin O’Brien and his Sri Lankan registrar Ayodhya Malalagama. The report claims that “a home visit was organized” after the incarceration on 31 August 2015 and that “the house and the garden clearly showed evidence of disorganization. The conclusion was that Romesh shows disorganized behaviour driven by a psychotic illness, namely Schizophrenia and that he required anti-psychotic medication. The ITO was endorsed and he was restarted on IMI paliperidone depot.”

The report then claims:

“22/09/15 to 7/10/15 – Admission to Princess Alexandra Hospital – West wing. Readmitted on an Authority to Return (ATR) issued after home visit by community psychiatrist in response to complaints made by neighbors who reported Mr Senewiratne to be verbally abusive, threatening, walking with knife in hand, flooding the garden and overflowing neighbor’s garden and several behavioral abnormalities. Paranoia and irritability were observed on cross-sectional clinical assessment. There was clear evidence of disorganization and his impaired capacity to contain his behaviors to prevent conflicts with others.”

This is not what happened, and I have proof of it. The proof is photographic and documentary. I also have clear recollections of what was a very traumatic experience. On 22 September (my 55th birthday) I was not taken to the hospital after a “home visit by a community psychiatrist” and the visit to my house by Justin O’Brien and Ayodhya Malalagama only occurred after I had been locked up on the 22nd (not before, as the report claimed). It was also after my house had been ransacked and was not done in my presence or with my consent. After I was locked up O’Brien arranged the visit with my mother. This was following a letter from my father to O’Brien falsely stating that they had sold my house and I would not be able to return there. This was not true, however O’Brien told me that my chance of coming back here was “between zero and Buckley’s”.

As the police report by Constable Nicholas Giunta indicates, the reason I was taken to the hospital was a claim by my hostile neighbour Jeffrey Miller that I was “armed with a knife” and “slashing a tree” across the road and he feared that I would run across the road and stab him because I dislike him for getting me locked up previously. He stated this in his report to the police, who charged me with “going armed so as to cause fear” after my father and Miller gave the police the knife Miller was afraid of. My father got my mother to sign the receipt. I was visited in the hospital ward by Giunta and Constable Kirsty Silman and told I was going to be charged. I was told it was a serious charge and that I would probably go to jail. Miller, who has got me locked up several times, was named as the “victim”. The Charge Nurse who sat in on the interview told me I would probably be put on a Forensic Order.

I was then told that my house had been emptied of my possessions and they had been stored at the Mount Gravatt Storage King, which is located very close to my parents’ home in Carina Heights. I was injected with a bigger dose of paliperidone (Invega sustenna) and kept in the West Wing, the doors of which were kept locked. I requested and was denied leave by O’Brien. I complained to him that what he was doing was very unfair. He told me, “Life isn’t fair. If it was, most of us would be in jail.”

I was then visited by a woman called Clare Gamble who said she was my new “case manager” and that my family had found a new house for me to live in a place called Nanango, which I had never heard of. I was told it was near Kingaroy and she showed me the location on her mobile phone. I was distressed but agreed to the plan since it meant I could get out of hospital.

I was later told by my mother that my father’s lover (and secretary) Joyce Achong had driven my mother to see this house, which she was going to buy for $200,000. This is much less than the value of my house in Moorooka, the title deeds of which have been in the hands of my hostile older sister Shireen’s lawyer Fiona Kennedy who is married to her friend and fellow plastic surgeon Dan Kennedy. I later found out that my sister was involved in the plot to send me far away to Nanango and sell my house. I had renovated the house and landscaped the garden at my own expense and in lieu of paying rent my mother had requested that I act as her agent to promote and sell her art (she is an accomplished artist). This involved photographing hundreds of painting, cropping and colour-correcting them, naming them and uploading them to an artist page on Facebook, making YouTube clips of her art (with my music) and promoting her art on Blue Thumb.

The day before I was due to be discharged (to go to Nanango) I was told that the deal had fallen through and they would not be buying the house. I was then offered a place to stay by a co-patient by the name of Joel Schilling who I had made friends with in hospital. Joel told me his mother, whose name was also Kelly Schilling (the same name as the psychiatrist who had taken me off the ITO) had agreed that I could stay a few days with them at their house in Yeronga.

I stayed with the Schilling family for the next few days, but first I was taken to my house in Fegen Drive by Clare Gamble to get my car, which was parked in the driveway with a flat battery. She told me that I was not allowed to go into the house or garden and had to leave as soon as I got a new battery for my car.

When I saw my house and garden I was aghast. All the shrubs and trees I had planted since 2008 had been chopped down, all the potted plants and ferns around the house had been stolen and the beautiful rock garden I had made had been bulldozed. The bins were full of my work, with my bank card placed on the top where it could be easily seen and stolen. There was a pile of my and my daughters’ art which has been broken, torn and left in the rain. I disregarded the order not to enter the house and found that it had been emptied. All the art on my walls had been torn off. There were only two things left in the house. One was a photo of different Aboriginal tribes which was on the floor of my bedroom, and an ebony mask I had bought in Tanzania on the ground next to the front steps. The valuable rocks from my collection that I had put in my rock garden had been thrown in a pile under the house.

I then went to the Schillings’ house and stayed there for a few days, before I decided to come back to my house. I had visited the storage unit with Joel to retrieve some of my property but it had been crammed to the roof in total disarray. I was able to find my guitar and keyboard as well as a few clothes. It was weeks later, after my mother relented and let me return home and I got my property back from storage, that I found out that many of my valuables (including my coin collection, Aboriginal art and some of my musical and recording equipment as well as several USB memory sticks containing my work) had been stolen.

I returned to the house on 13.10.2015 (5 days after I had been discharged) and came inside the house. I then ordered a pizza. While I was eating the pizza the police arrived to take me back to the PA Hospital. My neighbour Miller had been instructed to ring my father if I came home, which he did. I later found that they had spoken to each other several times though neither spoke to me.I was locked up again in West Wing.

I was then sent a curt note that my father typed and got my mother to sign in 3 places. It reads as follows:

“1) This is to inform you that you cannot enter my property in Fegen Drive Moorooka or the House that stands on it. If you do so, as your treating Psychiatrist, Dr O’Brien told me, you will commit trespass and will be dealt with as such.

2) My lawyer tells me that if you attempt to move into my house (or enter it) the Police should be called and they have the requisite authority to remove you.Subsequently I will make an application for an AVO (Apprehended Violence Order). That Order will forbid you from going near my house in Fegan Drive and if you do so, the Police have the authority to remove you. I will convey this to the Moorooka Police.

3) My house in which you have been living without paying rent has been cleared of your belongings which have been stored in Storage King, Creek Rd, Carindale. I have paid the rent for two months. At the end of this period (November 2015) it will not be renewed. You can take it over and pay the rent. If it is not, the contents in storage will be disposed of.

4) I note that despite clear instructions given to you that you are not to enter the house in Fegan Drive, you have and have put back some of your belongings. You will have to remove these as soon as you are discharged from Hospital. If you do not do this, the contents in the house will be disposed of.

5) Regarding the removal of your belongings referred to above, you can do this ONLY if your Case manager is there. If they are not removed, they will be disposed of.”Copies of this horrible threatening letter were sent to Justin O’Brien and Clare Gamble. O’Brien responded by hastily writing a note to my mother apologising if he appeared to give her legal advice and that he was not qualified to advise her on trespass laws. The note says “a copy of this letter will be given to Romesh”. It never was.

The last week of this re-incarceration was hellish. I had been transferred to the psychogeriatric ward, ironically called the Grevillea Ward. I was 55. The irony was that among the trees that were cut down in my garden were two young Grevilleas. I was told by one of the nurses that I was moved to the geriatric ward because “Dr O’Brien doesn’t want you using the hospital as a hotel”. I was then seen by the “homeless team” who told me that on a pension all I would be able to afford was a one bedroom unit.

After a few days in the geriatric ward I rang and got through to my mother on her mobile phone. I was in tears and begged for her to let me return to my home, at least temporarily. She asked my father and he said “okay”.

After I returned home Nigel Lewin started coming to my house again every month to inject me. He urged me to get “legal representation” due to the seriousness of the charge of “going armed so as to cause fear”. I discussed it with my mother who offered to pay for a lawyer.

I contacted Trent Jones, a criminal lawyer working for Russo Lawyers, the boss of which was Peter Russo who is now my local member. Jones never met me, but accepted the brief after talking to me on the phone for about half an hour. After I sent him some money he contacted the police. He then wrote to me saying that the case against me was strong and advised me to plead guilty, for which he wanted to be paid $4,000 (to represent me in court). He said if I wanted to plead not guilty it would cost me about $8,000.

I decided to sack him and write my own submission to the Police Prosecutors. They dropped the charges. They also provided me with copies of the reports by the involved police officers and statement from my neighbours as well as the spy notes my neighbour Jeff Miller had been compiling on me from August till September 2015 when he made the false report that I was threatening him with a knife. The police accepted my explanation that I was cutting paperbark off a tree for my art and did not threaten Miller, but the false information has been retained in the PA Hospital records since 2015. This is despite my protestation that the claims are false and misleading.

The next reference to my father in the report claims that in October 2016 “there had been complaints from his [my] family about his abusive calls. He was reportedly running excessive amounts of water in his garden; he was irritable and more preoccupied with delusional thoughts about his father’s involvement with a banned political group.”

The “banned political group” is the Tamil Tigers (LTTE) which were not, in fact, banned in Australia (unlike many other countries). It does not take much investigation online to ascertain that my claim was not delusional. Nigel Lewin has told me “I never disagreed with what you said about your father”. This is not true – I had to show him a lot of evidence before he accepted that what I said was factual. Now he says that he knows that my father has been very abusive towards me, and that he “may well have been in leadership position in the Tamil Tigers”. This was after I played him YouTube clips where my father shouts his support of the LTTE, declares his ambition to be the “Foundation Professor of Medicine in Tamil Eelam” and defended their use of child soldiers and suicide bombers.

The third reference to my father in Anup Joseph’s report relates to my most recent incarceration from 24.11.2020 to 3.12.2020, after he sent police as well as an ambulance to take me to the hospital based on reports that I was playing loud music, saying that “his schizophrenia is playing up”. He did not attempt to verify the veracity of the claim or ring me himself.

He has written, “On 24/11/20 Mr Senewiratne was admitted to PAH inpatient unit for mental state stabilization as he was noted to be presenting as flagrantly psychotic. There were complaints from neighbours that he was playing music particularly loudly in the days to weeks prior to admission and also letting water at his property run and overflow into neighboring properties. He held the belief that his father is a supporter of the Tamil Tigers and helped “orchestrate the war”. He initially presented as irritable with blunted affect but gradually improved in affect and settled in mental state prior to discharge”.

I was not “flagrantly psychotic” nor was I floridly psychotic. I was not psychotic at all. Neither was I “irritable”. I was justifiably angry and being abducted from my house again on the basis of vexatious and malicious claims by my racist neighbours. Prior to this Anup Joseph had told me it was “far-fetched” to believe that my father got me locked up for “going against him” and that rather than a supporter of the LTTE it “sounded like” he was concerned with human rights.

He pointedly refers to me as “Mr” rather than “Dr” and claimed as evidence of mental illness my request to a “staff member” that they call me “Dr Senewiratne”. The last MHRT also pointedly called me “Mr” rather than “Dr” because, they said, I was not registered with AHPRA. The title of Dr was earned by my medical degree at university, not by my registration. PhDs also call themselves Dr. This is just another effort to humiliate me and disparage me.

He has also claimed that I do not work, however he knows this not to be true. When I told him about my company Golden Ant Enterprises he asked me what my business model is. He has also written that I “claim an extensive linked in network”. The fact, which he could easily check, is that I have more than 14,000 connections on LinkedIn including several Queensland Government ministers (including the Attorney-General of Queensland), hundreds of professors in a wide range of fields, dozens of lawyers, judges and barristers, reporters and journalists, psychologists, medical doctors and scientists from all over the world as well as the Presidents of Sri Lanka and Madagascar. I also have connections with many students (especially medicine and health sciences) and musicians. I think it is a fair claim to call it an extensive network.

Anup Joseph has claimed that I “occupy” myself with “building an online network” and that I actively engage in “disseminating information critical of the current mental health system”. A review of my 30 Facebook pages, 2 YouTube sites, WordPress blog, Soundcloud (music) site and Twitter account demonstrate that I have many interests and do a lot of work outside my criticism of psychiatry and building my LinkedIn network. I have been writing books critical of psychiatric abuse since 1997 when I published Psychiatric Tales and Words about Life in Melbourne. This was when Anup Joseph was still in high school.

When I first attended an appointment with him after being told I would be locked up if I didn’t I went prepared with two of my publications – Eugenics and Genocide in the Modern World (2010) and The Pseudoscience of Schizophrenia (2011). He didn’t want to look at them. I also showed him some of my theoretical work on music psychology and neuroscience. His dismissive comment was that he is “not a music person”. When I asked him on a later occasion what he is interested in he said he didn’t really have any hobbies other than watching Netflix. I don’t watch television or movies at all any more. I have also given up drinking alcohol and have never been interested in gambling. I do, however, smoke ganja, and have done since I was in my twenties.

I first met Anup Joseph in 2019 when he was appointed the “treating psychiatrist” in charge of me by the new director of PA psychiatry Manaan Kar Ray, who also graduated in India before psychiatry training in the British NHS (National Health Service). However, my notes indicate that in 2016 Anup Joseph sent his registrar Ben Harwood and Scottish man by the name of Stephen Crawford to my house in 2016 (14.1.2016). The registrar claimed that my true assertion that the PA Hospital supported the Vietnam War was an “overvalued idea”. He told me that his consultant was Anup Joseph whom I had not heard of until then. I later found that he had just come to Brisbane from Bundaberg Hospital after graduating and training in Manipal, a town in Karnataka in India but is from Kerala. He told me, when I first met him that he is a “nominal Catholic” and graduated as a doctor in 2003.

When Anup Joseph first sent his registrar Harwood to my house in 2016 the Director of Psychiatry at the PA Hospital was Dr Balaji Motamarri who admits in the few published papers he has published that he has accepted “fees and/or hospitality” from several drug companies. His publications recklessly promote the use of depot antipsychotic injections as do those of Dr Mark Taylor, an English psychiatrist who was put in charge of “treating” me in 2018, after Ghazala Watt who graduated in Pakistan in 2003 “left the service”.

It so happens (not by coincidence) that Mark Taylor locked me up several times at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in 2001 and 2002 for my allegation that my father, Brian Senewiratne, was a supporter of terrorism (the LTTE, better known as the Tamil Tigers). Taylor also claimed that my support for the theory that HIV is man-made was “delusion”. However, he refused to read my thesis on the subject which I completed in 2001 (the first edition of Eugenics and Genocide in the Modern World which was 600 pages long and took 5 years to research and write).

Prior to being locked up under Taylor I was falsely and punitively incarcerated and injected at the Alfred Hospital under the orders of Kym Jenkins, who is also English and British-trained. This was in response to my opposition to Australian troops being sent to East Timor. I was concerned that Australia was after the oil and gas in the Timor Sea. I was working on a Peace Plan for Timor, a 40 point plan that I was typing in a house I was renting at 149 Bambra Road, Caulfield, from a Jewish chemist by the name of Avi Jaworowski via a Jewish real estate agent by the name of Hiam Sharp. Avi Jaworowski’s brother Sol is a psychiatrist whose name appears in the outpatient notes when he was contacted by the psychiatry director at the Alfred Peter Doherty (same name but a different man to the Nobel laureate Professor Peter Doherty, who is an immunologist in Melbourne).

I was working at the time doing general practice sessions for a Jewish GP by the name of Abraham Mass at the Tucker Road Medical Centre. It was Mass who made the referral after I showed him a draft copy of my peace plan, claiming that I had “SAD” (Schizoaffective Disorder). The plan, which I never had the chance to send anywhere, was described in the Alfred notes as a “thought disordered document sent to various authorities”. The man who did the actual abduction (with police backup) was also Jewish – a thug by the name of Ivan Katz who was then a psychiatry registrar.

Kym Jenkins’ registrar was a bespectacled British-trained Indian ophthalmic surgeon by the name of Tejpal Singh, who claimed in his presentation to the “grand round” that I have a “poor memory” and concentration and that I had a “strict Catholic education”. He knew perfectly well that I did not have a Catholic education at all – I was educated at Anglican schools and brought up as a Protestant, not a Catholic. As you can see, my memory and concentration are excellent.

Jenkins is now the President of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). Singh is working as a psychiatrist in New Zealand. After I was discharged from the Alfred I was put on a Community Treatment Order (CTO) administered by Peter Braun, another Jewish psychiatrist. Braun, who had terrible writing, wrote to the Victorian Mental Health Review Board that evidence of my “schizophrenia” was that I suspected him of working for the Mossad (not without reason).

Prior to my most recent incarceration (on 24.11.2020) I was locked up from 1.6.2020 until 10.6.2020 (9 days) under another Indian psychiatrist by the name of Nakul Parashar. Parashar, who refused to tell me his first name or where he qualified, said he had discussed me with “Dr Joseph” who wanted to restart the depot injections which had been ceased after the case manager Raghavan Raman refused to inject me further due to the hypersalivation and slurred speech they were causing. Anup Joseph made this recommendation to Parashar without talking to me or assessing me himself following another malicious report by my bigoted neighbour Jeff Miller. I was injected with 400 milligrams of aripiprazole (Abilify) depot which had the effect of making the drooling and slurred speech markedly worse. To add insult to injury the charge nurse on the East Wing ward where I was locked up refused to believe that I was uncontrollably drooling and accused me of faking it. Another nurse offered me a bib.

Prior to Anup Joseph I had been put under the treatment authority of another abusive Indian psychiatrist by the name of Tarun Sehgal. Sehgal graduated from the MGR University in Tamil Nadu, named after MG Ramachandran, a politician and film director who was one of the financiers of the Tamil Tigers. Sehgal also claimed that my belief (based on incontrovertible evidence) that my father supported the Tamil Tigers was a “paranoid delusion”. He wrote that “rapport was difficult to establish” and that in addition to paranoid schizophrenia I have “personality disorders”. When I asked him if he thought HIV was man-made he said, “I’d be naive to answer that.”

These people are corrupt power abusers. They are dangerous to the Australian public and guilty of serious crimes against humanity in the guise of treatment and care. They need to be held accountable for their actions.

Hi Chandran

Seeing as you have not replied my message, I will inform you that I suspect that our grandfather Winslow Alagaratnam was killed in Colombo in 1977.

I want to know the names of the doctors who treated him, what diagnoses were made and which of my cousins were in Colombo at the time.

I also am making a property claim for our grandfather’s Last Will and Testament as well as his bird paintings and other documents. I am also making a land and property claim for the Uduvil house and Appa and Ammamma’s land in Kilinochchi.

Your cousin

Dr Romesh Arya Chakravarti

Hi Chandran,

I have been contacted by Maurice Arulasalam, who says that he and his brothers own the Uduvil house and the land in which the school is built.

He says he has documents that prove that his family owned the land, but it appears that his father’s house is not the same house as the one that Daniel Poor Mann built and in which our respective mothers were brought up. I’m sure you realise that I have a legal right, as their descendant, to see Daisy and Winslow Alagaratnam’s wills.

Please post copies of the relevant documents (last will and testament of Winslow Alagaratnam) and other personal documents of our grandfather Winslow Alagaratnam.

As I have said I am also claiming Winslow Alagaratnam’s bird paintings (he taught me to paint birds) and want to know more details about his last illness and death.

Amma told me that my father, Brian Senewiratne, wanted to buy the Uduvil house after the end of the war and that you refused. Our cousin Shirani Ratnesar says the only people who have access to Ammamma’s (Daisy Alagaratnam’s) will are my parents, Kamalini and Brian Senewiratne. Amma say’s she doesn’t know where it is and Brian, like you, refuses to communicate with me.

Can I ask why you want to own the Uduvil house if you don’t intend to return to Sri Lanka?

Hi Chandran

Having reviewed the evidence, I am certain that my father Asoka Brian Senewiratne murdered your father Rajah Mylvaganam.

The murder occurred in Kandy around 1974 at 98/5 Rajapihilla Mawatha, Kandy.

It was done by poisoning.

My father also killed his own mother Nenie Samarakkody around the same time. She was in her sixties.

I have evidence that he has murdered or engineered the murder of many other people.

I have evidence also that Brian Senewiratne orchestrated the murders of:

  1. Bishop Lakshman Wickremasinghe

2. Mayor Alfred Duraiappah

3. Dr. Rajini Thirinagama

4. Vijaya Kumaratunga

5. Our grandfather Winslow Alagaratnam

6. Dr Basil Seneviratne

7. Len Barber

8. Several hundred Tamil people in Colombo in 1983 (“Black July”)

He is a friend of the LTTE boss Adele Balasingham, who married Anton Balasingham in London in 1979 after killing his wife Pearl.

I have some questions to ask you.

  1. What do you know about these murders?

2. What do you know about the International network of the LTTE?

3. What do you know about the use of the Uduvil House owned by our grandmother Daisy Alagaratnam during the war?

4. What has become of our grandfather Winslow Alagaratnam’s bird paintings and last will and testament?

5. Have you seen the Will of our grandmother Daisy Alagaratnam and what do you know about her imprisonment and torture by my parents?

6. What do you know about the $10,000 that my father lent your brother Mano Mylvaganam despite the fact that Mano sexually molested my sister Shireen in 1972 when she was living with the Ratnesar family in Jawatta Road in the house adjacent to your parents’ house?

7. What do you know about the trade in body parts during the war in Sri Lanka?

8. What do you know about the plundering of Tamil people during the war in Sri Lanka?

9. What do you know about the role of Citibank in the war in Sri Lanka?

10. What do you know about the role of your other brother Indraraj (Indran/Indra) in the war in Sri Lanka?

11. What do you know about the role of Chandran and Kamini Richards in the war in Sri Lanka?

12. What do you know about the role of Karunai Jeevaratnam in the war in Sri Lanka?

13. What do you know about the roles of Ranee and Christie Eliezer in the war in Sri Lanka?

14. What do you know about the roles of Chelvarayan and Madhuni Barr-Kumarakulasinghe in the war in Sri Lanka?

15. What do you know about the role of ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries) in the war in Sri Lanka?

16. What do you know about the role of my paternal cousin Kaven Yatawara who worked for IBM in Britain in the war in Sri Lanka.

17. What do you know about the role in the war of Channa Seneviratne (now a Telstra executive and the oldest son of Basil and Erangani Seneviratne)?

Please respond in writing.

Yesterday I went to the Upper Mt Gravatt Police Station, opposite the euphemistically-named ‘Garden City’, to collect $1,200 of new $50 notes that had been ‘seized’ by the Queensland Police on 29 May this year, after they abducted me from outside my house at Fegen Drive and took me to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where I was locked up for a week and poisoned with antipsychotic drugs – though I was obviously not psychotic.

The grim woman at the counter asked me if I had an appointment for the return of the money. I told her that I had been given a report number to quote and that I would be given the money. I had been told it was taken to the Upper Mt Gravatt Station because the Moorooka Station did not have a safe. I also explained that the notes were new $50 notes in close-to mint condition that are worth much more than their face value. I had previously explained this to officers from the Moorooka Station.

The lady asked me for identification and I gave her my driver’s license. I was asked to wait while she spoke on the phone and then went to another room. When she returned, she told me that the money had been banked with the rest of Queensland Government revenue and that I will need to wait for two months for the station to give me a cheque for the money. She said that the matter of return of the actual notes required me to “take up the matter” with Sergeant Lee Slatter, whom I had heard her mentioning on the phone. She offered to send Slatter an email to contact me. I said it was not Slatter who took the money but a Sergeant Bernie Quinlan. She said she’s send Quinlan an email to contact me, too.

I had noticed that some of my money was missing when I was allowed home by Nakul Parashar, the Indian psychiatrist who had been put in charge of me. Parashar, who I had never met before, said he had discussed me with Anup Joseph, who is also Indian, as is Manaan Kar Ray who took over as Director of Psychiatry in 2016 from Balaji Motamarri (who is also Indian). I discussed my father with Motamarri over the phone (you can see it on YouTube) and also with Anup Joseph, the previous psychiatrist Tarun Sehgal (also Indian) and Nakul Parashar (who would not tell me his first name or where he qualified).

Joseph said my claim that my father supported the Tamil Tigers was “far-fetched” and that he was increasing the dose of the abusive injection I was being subjected to. This injection made the sialorrhoea (hypersalivation) and slurred speech that I had developed from the years of dopamine-blocker injections much worse. Saliva was falling from my mouth constantly, staining all my clothes. People couldn’t understand what I was saying over the phone. The injections also sterilised me and I started developing a peripheral neuropathy with numbness in my toes.

I had already told this to Joseph, who graduated in Manipal in 2003 and came to Australia through the “regional doctors program” by taking a job at the infamous Bundaberg Hospital (that previously employed the notorious Dr Patel dubbed “Dr Death” by the Australian media). Terun Sehgal graduated from the MGR University, established by the film director and Tamil Nadu politician MG Ramachandran. According the Tamil Tiger arms procurer Kumaran Pathmanathan (KP) “MGR” as he was called was a key financier of the Tamil Tigers.

The day after I was locked up Nakul Parashar told me he had discussed me with Anup Joseph and they wanted to “restart the injections”. The injections had been stopped several months before this after the case manager Raghavan Raman refused to give me any more injections after observing the deterioration in my health. While I was locked up in hospital I was given tablets of an “antipsychotic” drug by the name of aripiprazole. The nurses had orders to inject me if i refused, so I swallowed the tablets. The drooling became worse. I complained about it to the nurses. One of them offered me a bib. The charge nurse accused me of faking it and drooling on purpose. I was furious, but knew not to show it.

I was told that I would not be discharged until I had an injection of depot aripiprazole. I agreed to accept the injection, though I told them it would make the drooling worse and asked them to give me a small dose. This request was ignored and I was injected with 400 mg of the drug and then told I could leave.

A couple of days after I was allowed home I was visited by two police officers, an obese middle-aged man with a young woman. I recognised his accent as English, which he confirmed. He told me his name was Sergeant Slatter from the South Brisbane station and that he had come to question me about some “cannabis” that had been found by the police in my house. I asked him about the missing money and he confirmed that about $!,000 had been taken for “safekeeping” by Constable Anthony Gallagher, who was the “arresting officer” on 29 May. He asked if I had not been given a receipt for it (as is required by law). I said I had not. I also told him I was happy to talk to them and asked them to verify that what had been seized by the police were molasses of hemp drained of THC and poisoned with arsenic. The policewoman asked “you mean it was tampered with?” I said they have been poisoning Black people in Australia with arsenic for a long time.

I also tried to tell them about corruption at the PA Hospital. I began by saying how the registrar Sagir Parkar had told me that “we all know that pharmaceutical corruption is rampant” back in 2013. Parkar, who is also Indian was brought to my house several times by the case manager Nigel Lewin.

Sgt Slatter stopped me. “This is way above my pay grade” he said.

He then told me he could not take a statement from me because I was “affected” by the injection but was issuing me with an order to go to the Upper Mount Gravatt station to be fingerprinted and an order to appear in the Roma Street Magistrate’s Court in the Brisbane City to answer a charge of “possession of dangerous drugs”. He said I could ask about the seized money when I went to the station to be fingerprinted. I said the police already have my fingerprints (and handprints) but he said it had to be done again. I then asked why it could not be done at the local Moorooka Station and he said they did not have the necessary equipment.

I did not attend court or go to the Mt Gravatt station to be fingerprinted. Shortly after I was supposed to be in court I was visited and arrested by Sergeant Michael Walters and a junior officer from Moorooka station for failure to appear in court and taken to the City Watchhouse. My clothes were dirty and stained. Dirty because I was gardening when the police arrived and stained because of the saliva that was falling from my mouth. I asked who had ordered the arrest and they said the Officer in Charge was Senior Sergeant Tony Collins.

I was told by the rude police woman it the watch house that I was being given “another chance” to appear in court and got me to sign documents agreeing to it. She said she didn’t want to hear any of my “excuses” for not attending court. She said, though that if I pleaded not guilty I would need to “come back to court”. I had to pay $30.00 to get home in a taxi.

Before I hailed the taxi I went to the Magistrate’s Court to ask how I could present my defence online using Skype. The officer I asked conferred with a colleague and told me I had to request it in an email to the “JAG”. He told me this is the “Justice and Attorney-General’s Department”.When I got home I investigated the JAG and Sergeants Collins and Quinlan online. I had been told by Constable Anthony Gallagher who had come to my house some days earlier that the officer who took the money for “safekeeping” was a Sergeant Bernie Quinlan, the boss of the “Vulnerable Persons and Domestic Violence Unit” who had been called to assist Mel Rodgers and Gallagher when I refused to go with them to the PA Hospital on the 29th of May. I said I did not give them permission to enter my house and that they were obliged to tell me about taking the money and give me a receipt for it.

I found a photo online of the boss of the Moorooka station, Senior Sergeant Anthony Collins posing while cutting a cake to celebrate 100 years of the Moorooka Police Station of which he has been the Officer in Charge since 2013. There were also photos of him posing, at the same event, with the politicians Graham Perrett and Steve Griffiths. Griffiths, my local councillor is the son of Colin Griffiths who works in his son’s office and advised my neighbour Miller to keep a “diary” of my actions in 2015 and contacted the police for Miller at this time (Miller has written in his handwritten “diary” on 28.8.2015 – “Col called Police on my behalf, $12-30 approx.). This was prior to my being locked up, chemically tortured and robbed on 22 September 2015 (my 55th birthday) after another series of false and malicious reports by both Miller and my father, Brian Senewiratne.

I had been told, back in 2014, that his boss was Tony Collins by an officer by the name of Darren Boersma, when he abducted me from my lounge room at 9.00 pm at night, breaking my front door when I would not let him, handcuffing me and taking me to the PA Hospital. He did not secure the glass door panel he had broken and some of my valuables were stolen while I was locked up.

I then checked out Bernie Quinlan who had arrived in a second police car with an obese middle-aged Englishman who said he was “mental health worker” on 29 May (I don’t remember his name, but I didn’t like him or his actions which were to approve that I be taken forcibly to the ‘hospital’). There was a photo of Quinlan posing with the ex-police prosecutor Atul Bhagwan, whose online biography indicates was a Major in the Indian Army before he came to Australia, became a lawyer and promoted to the position of Chief Police Prosecutor. He held this position for about 10 years and is now offering his private legal services. The photo with Quinlan was taken at a fund-raising event for a “safe house” for South Asian women, misleadingly called “Sahara”.

I also contacted the Justice and Attorney-General’s department by phone and sent the Director of JAG, David Mackie, a connection request on LinkedIn. I was pleasantly surprised when he accepted the request. When I rang the JAG I was told I was put through, after a delay, to a man with an Indian accent who told me that I needed to contact the court but that they would only allow the case to be transferred to the (closer and more accessible) Holland Park Magistrate’s Court if I pleaded guilty. I asked Constable Gallagher about this. “I don’t think that’s right”, he said.

I then sent a submission to the Roma Street Magistrates Court asking that the charges be dropped or transferred to the Holland Park Magistrates Court. I also asked to present my case by videoconferencing. The latter request was ignored and I received a letter the next week saying the case had been adjourned till 9 December at the Holland Park Magistrate’s Court.I have been robbed several times after being taken to the PA Hospital by the Moorooka Police, including in 2015, 2016 and 2017. The thefts have included my valuable coin collection, stamp collection, musical equipment, recording equipment, cameras, computers and memory sticks. I reported these robberies to the police several times.

I gathered from what I was told by the PA Hospital, that my next-door neighbour Jeff Miller had claimed that I was “pacing up and down the street”. I wasn’t. I was checking the flow of water from my property into the storm water drain in Whittle Street, behind my house. You can see this from my YouTube channel. Two officers arrived in a car that pulled up in front of Miller’s house. Both were wearing sunglasses and armed with guns and tasers. I knew the first police officer who approached me by name. Her name is Melissa Rodgers, but calls herself ‘Mel’. She calls me “Dr Romesh’ and she has abducted me from my home several times since 2013, when she did it the first time. This was following false reports about me from the same source – my next door neighbour Jeffrey Mitchell Miller, who lives at 74 Fegen Drive.

Miller has been my neighbour since Sara and I moved into number 76 on 16 October 2008. I remember the date because it was Sara’s birthday. I extended my hand in friendship towards him and his family when we first moved in, inviting them for dinner and to our daughter Zoe’s first birthday party. When we first moved here there was only a wire mesh half-height fence between our properties enabling Miller and I to observe each other and talk to each other when we were in our “back yards” as they call what the British call “back gardens”. My back garden has many trees and I tried growing vegetables in a small “veggie patch” I made under the shade of a Flamboyant (Royal Poinciana) Tree. I watered the plants laboriously with a watering can. Miller used to laugh at me, but I took it with good humour.

I was locked up at the PA ‘Hospital’ for 5 days soon after Zoe was born on 30 August 2009. It broke my heart. This cruel imprisonment did not involve Miller, as far as I know. It was because of a false report by a man by the name of Pawel (“Paul”) Obrocki, whom I had met in 2006 when I was camping alone in the Border Ranges National Park. I had been introduced to this national park in northern New South Wales as a place to catch butterflies by a fellow medical student back in 1978 when it was still a logging forest called “Wiangaree State Forest”. At the time it was difficult to access the forest from Queensland and one had to circuit Wullubin and travel up Lion’s Road to get there. Wullubin or Wooloobin is the rocky core of a giant shield volcano (the Tweed Volcano). The so-called “Scenic Rim’ in southern Queensland and northern New South Wales, with their lush forests and waterfalls are the rim of this huge volcano that Captain Cook named “Mount Warning”.

I heard Obrocki before I met him. He has a loud voice and was saying to someone with a quiet voice that he would “kill for a coffee”. I didn’t take it literally and offered them some of mine. I found that his accent, which I had thought might be Swiss, was actually Polish and his companion, a young woman called Astrid was a tourist from France. I was surprised by her ambition, which was to become a butcher.

When we shared coffee and a few joints Obrocki told me he was a “green architect”. He also told me he and his partner, who was in Brisbane, did not watch TV. He asked me to write a limerick for him (after explaining what it was) and to give him my phone number. I obliged. He also asked me if I thought it was possible to remove a full-grown tree from a forest. He said the reason he was asking was that he had found a hole in the ground that looked like a giant tree had been removed and that he and Astrid had slept in this hole.

I later found that it was not true that he was an architect, let alone a “green architect”. He repeatedly told me, “never let truth get in the way of a good story”. This is the motto of a liar. The truth, which I gathered when I was living for a year in his garage, was that he had been unable to complete his written thesis for his architecture degree which was supposed to be on “healthy houses”. This was despite the help of his partner Gosia Osielska, who was and is far more literate. Gosia is an overweight physiotherapist, and Pawel’s qualification is as an “occupational therapist”. He was not qualified as a builder or an architect, but had been doing house “modifications” when he was working for what was then called the “Spastic Society”.

When I lived with them I discovered that Obrocki abused alcohol and was an aggressive drunk who picked arguments with people after he’d been drinking. He was also violent towards his young sons. From under their bedrooms I would hear him shouting, a thump or two, followed by the sound of them crying. I was very upset by this and tried discussing it with Gosia. Her response shocked me, “I don’t have to use the belt anymore, all I have to do is threaten to get it”. Shortly after I met him in the forest Obrocki invited me to their home at 33 Arras Street, Yeronga for dinner. I met Gosia and his two sons and enjoyed the evening. Obrocki uses flattery to achieve his ends and told me he wanted me to be his “mentor” and offered me a job to do a “mosaic” in tiles at a house he was renovating in Inala. He said that he needed my “artistic skills” and was insistent that it did not matter that I had never done it before. I was desperately in need of money after escaping from torture in Melbourne penniless so I accepted.

Over the years I worked out Obrocki’s modus operandi. This was to seduce older women and convince them to register as “owner builders” while he did the building on the cheap using his dodgy Polish mates. This is said in the Australian vernacular. The first of these women that I met was the owner of the house that I was commissioned to do a “mosaic” for while Obrocki did the design and all the building single-handedly except for the electrical connections, which were done by a Polish man who was morbidly fearful of magnetic fields by the name of Marek. (I met him later when he asked me to look at his psychiatric records and documents while I was living in Obrocki’s garage in 2008). I noticed, with disapproval, that Obrocki was giving this lady “relationship advice” regarding her husband with whom she was having marital difficulties and also was flirting with her, saying how much he liked older women. I tried discussing it with him, but he defended his actions. Later I met another middle-aged woman whom Obrocki had built a plywood attachment for. In my presence he told her how attractive she was and how he was attracted to older women. She, too, had been convinced to register as an “owner-builder” for Obrocki to do the building.

Immediately after we moved into this house (from Obrocki’s garage, where Sara had joined me from Melbourne) Pawel tried to convince Sara and I to employ him to build an attachment to the house. Sara was in agreement and offered him $60,000 to built it. The condition was that she become part owner of the house with her name on the title deeds.

Sara’s brother Guido (“Andrew”) was getting married for the second time, this time to a girl called May from Cambodia. I was told that her family owned a bicycle shop but that’s all. Sara and her mother Rosario (“Charo”) attended the wedding. Before she left for Cambodia Sara rang me from Melbourne and told me she was pregnant. I was overjoyed. That night I recorded “Groove for Our New Baby”. It shows how happy I was.

I was very attentive to Sara’s needs while she was pregnant with awareness of the auditory environment of the baby inside her. We did not argue even once and I complied with her wishes most of the time. She was interested in “hypnobirthing” and I helped her make a personal hypnosis CD. I also recorded a couple of CDs of “birthing music” consisting of her favourite music and tried to learn basic shiatsu pressure points. She used to watch a DVD on “yoga for pregnancy” that Obrocki gave her. However, I refused her request for me to do a home delivery. Consequently, Zoe was born in the Mater Hospital.

I brought Sara home from the hospital the day after Zoe was born. Sara has described it subsequently as an ecstatic experience, but I found it stressful because of how the doctors and nurses at the hospital reacted to the fact that Zoe was born with “intact membranes” (the amniotic sac had not ruptured). The nurses panicked as said Sara might need a Caesarean Section. They called the obstetric registrar who was fortunately sensible and just ruptured the membranes and reassured us, though she said the baby needed to be monitored with a CTG.

As it turned out Sara wanted to give birth standing up. She refused all pain killers and held onto me while she gave birth. It was she who wanted to call our daughter Zoe Raven Jade Senewiratne-Di Genova. I had some reservations about the name but I agreed to it. She said she wanted to call her “Raven” because of the black birds in our skies. I later found out that they are crows, not ravens. I also found out that Jade is the middle name of my sister Shireen’s daughter Talita. My main objection to the name Zoe is that there is no Z in Singhala or Tamil, so my Singhalese and Tamil brethren would have difficulty saying it.

Anyway, after I had brought Sara and Zoe from the hospital. my mother Kamalini rang me up to tell me that she and my father were planning on coming around to see our new baby. That evening they came around, and stayed a short while. The next day my mother rang and asked me to speak to my father and she handed him the phone. I decided to try and have a frank and honest conversation with him. I was very angry after the way he had treated both Sara and me as well as his propaganda activities in support of the LTTE (Tamil Tigers). I told him for the first time that it was I who had reported him to the Federal Police for his support of the Tamil Tigers and not a cousin of his in Sri Lanka, as he had supposed. Needless to say, he was furious.

The next day my mother came around and told me that my father had “abused” her badly and was crying about his plight, fearing that he may go to jail. He had told her that his friends in Melbourne and Sydney were being “rounded up”. She said “he thinks you’re ill and wanted to know if you would go in voluntarily for an injection.”

I rang Gosia the following morning. I had not told Sara or anyone else about reporting my father on the National Security Hotline in May 2009 or the information and interview I had given the Federal Police (while Sara was out of this house). This was in the final stages of the war against the Tamil Tigers, after I had seen footage on TV of the LTTE shooting people who were trying to leave them and cross to the government side. I tried telling my mother this but she wouldn’t believe it and accused me of being “brainwashed by Rajapaksa”.

I had also carefully watched the “13 DVDs” that my father had been boasting about to the expatriate Tamil community as a “major contribution” that had been “hailed as God’s gift to mankind”. I provided the 13 DVDs to the counter-terrorism investigator who came to my house and asked me to give her and her (middle aged male) colleague a recorded interview. She said her name was “Nicole East” but I noted that the card she gave me had an email address of “n.scott”. Some weeks after the end of the war the DVDs were returned to me. A couple of years ago I was informed that the Federal Police had completed an investigation into claims that my father had supported the LTTE in July 2009 and found that they were false.

Returning to my story, when I rang Gosia I asked her to come around so that I could talk to her without Pawel. I trusted her judgement and advice while I did not trust Obrockis. I told her I wanted to discuss my father with her. I had discussed him with her many times before, though they had never met. I then walked down to the shops on Beaudesert Road to buy some milk and a newspaper.

When I returned I was surprised to find both Pawel’s and Gosia’s cars parked outside. Pawel was in the street talking on a mobile phone and Gosia was standing in the front garden with her mother Anya. I told Gosia I wanted to speak to her alone and walked past her, opening the front door. To my surprise there was a man hiding behind the door. He was Pawel’s Colombian mate Carlos Martinez, who I had met many times at Arras Street. Obrocki had told me how he, Carlos and Ziggy (who was Yugoslavian) were the “bad boys of architecture”. The three of them had used and, by the sound of it, abused a young New Guinean architecture student by the name of Carl when they were required to do a group architecture project at the University of Queensland. Carl’s had designed what was called a “Wind House”. It is a traditional New Guinean design. Obrocki used this design as well as Carl’s labour to build what he called “The Shack” on a 50-acre block of land that his mother Dana owned in Mount Tambourine.

He then fleeced his wealthy mother out of $200,000 for “designing” a house that he promised to build on the land. Obrocki did not have the first idea how to build a whole house, and despite many years and excuses the house never got built. He got his mother, who is morbidly obese, to plant an avenue of trees leading up to the site of the promised house but they and the road were washed away by the next heavy rain. As well as this, he had done renovations and built a new bathroom in the house at 33 Arras Street, but they could not use the shower for more than a year because water was dripping into the room below, which he had rented out to his friend Marchek (who was living next to me while I was in the garage).

Carlos was a captain in the Colombian army before he escaped justice, fled to Australia and studied architecture. He told me his version of the story at some length when I was living in Obrocki’s garage. I had met him and his partner many times by then. Carlos told me he escaped Colombia to avoid being arrested for supplying weapons to ‘right wing militias’ who were fighting against the “FARC rebels”. I asked him if the accusation was true. “Everyone was doing it”, was his self-serving response.

I was furious when I found Carlos hiding behind the door and ordered him out of the house. Then I went into the bedroom to see that Zoe and Sara were OK. I picked up Zoe gently, carried her to the garden and sat down with her in my arms. I told Obrocki and Osielska to leave. I did not raise my voice. Then the police arrived. Zoe was still asleep in my arms.

I later found out, by reading the PA Hospital reports, that Obrocki had told the police that I had “barricaded’ myself in my house with my newborn baby and that I had “a history” of “barricading” myself “in houses with children”. When I questioned him over the phone about this some years ago he admitted he had said I had such a history, but he wouldn’t divulge the source of the lie. He maintained that I was “running around shouting” with my baby in my arms and he had decided to “put the child’s health ahead of our friendship”. I also asked him why he had brought Carlos and he said that he needed “moral support” because he had “limited experience in dealing with people who are crazy”. When I rang Carlos Martinez about it he denied ever coming to my house.

As I have said, when the police arrived I had not barricaded myself anywhere. I was seated in the garden with our baby in my arms. They asked me to give Zoe to Sara, who had hobbled out of the house. I did so. Then they grabbed me, handcuffed me, and took me to the PA Hospital. While in the police car I told them about Pawel Obrocki and Gosia Osielska. The hospital has recorded that I had persecutory delusions about Ozzie Osborne!

I was then deprived of experiencing Zoe’s first days, and forced to take antipsychotic drugs by the psychiatrist Daniel Varghese. Varghese is the son of the psychiatrist Frank Varghese whose real name is Thomas. I was told this by Daniel’s uncle (and Frank’s younger brother) Paul, who was in my batch and a good friend of mine when we studied medicine. Paul has been the Director of Geriatrics at the PA Hospital for many years. Frank used to be the Director of Psychiatry when my father was working on the medical wards and my sister training as a surgeon. He replaced Brett Emmerson who first got me locked up back in 1995, again on the instigation of my father. Brett’s father Bryan Emmerson was the professor who offered my father a job at the hospital back in 1975 and it was Brett who met us at the airport when we first arrived from Sri Lanka in January 1975. In 1995, when my father brought Brett to his house to certify me (after I had escaped from the Royal Park Hospital in Victoria) Brett was the director of Logan Hospital after a brief tenure as Chief Psychiatrist of Queensland. He is now the Director of Psychiatry at Metro North (which includes the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital).

While I was locked up under Daniel Varghese my father flew to Melbourne to seek legal advice. I don’t know what this advice was or from whom. Varghese himself claimed that he was not an “investigator” and could not confirm or refute what I said about my father, but nevertheless denied me my freedom and claimed that I was “psychotic”. He also prescribed oral antipsychotic drugs which I agreed to take, since the alternative he presented me with was a depot injection. I was allowed to leave the hospital after five days, but he illegally put me on an “Involuntary Treatment Order” and got his registrar to contest my appeal for release at the Mental Health Review Board. Over the next few years he did this several times.

I have copies of about 10 MHRT reports dating back to 2009. I also have the Statement of Reasons provided by the tribunal justifying their decision on 15 December 2009 to confirm the ITO Varghese had illegally put me on. He did not attend the hearing himself but sent his registrar, an English doctor by the name of Steven Bower (who was older than Varghese himself) and a fat occupational therapist by the name of Jenny Pike who had been appointed my “case manager”. I did not like Pike but I quite liked Steven Bower. Bower told me that he would have been angry too if he had been subjected to what had been written about me, and defended the theory that AIDS was man-made as legitimate (Varghese had initially classed it as a delusion as had the psychiatrists in Melbourne).

I did not take the tablets, but I attended the appointments I was given to see Steven Bower. However I refused to see Jenny Pike the appointed ‘case manager’. Despite this, Steven Bower took me off the ITO after a few visits. He told the tribunal that this was because I was “cooperating with the treatment team and accepting treatment” and that he thought I could be “managed in a less restrictive environment”.

“However”, the report continues, “it didn’t take him long to stop his cooperation. He did continue to see Dr Bower but refused to see his case manager and was selective about who else he would see, such as which consulting psychiatrist”. I had objected to being diagnosed and treated by Varghese who was many years my junior and whose family I had known for many years. The report of Dr Bower’s testimony continues, “He only saw Dr Bower two or three times after the Involuntary Treatment Order was revoked and then stopped. He also ceased his prescribed medication. His mother contacted the mental health services with concerns about Dr Senewiratne’s behaviour and as a result a new Involuntary Treatment Order dated 25 October 2009 was instituted and he was admitted to the acute observation area (AOA) of the Princess Alexandra Hospital mental health ward”

Truth before Reconciliation in Sri Lanka

Countering Truth with Lies

My father Brian Senewiratne is still promoting his “dozen DVDs” as a vital effort to counter the “disinformation campaign of the Sri Lankan government”. In Canada this year, he said the Tamil expatriates should support his effort by copying and distributing his DVDs at their own expense. This is despite his home-made DVDs being available free on YouTube for many years, with very few views and fewer likes.

The Sri Lankan government did not engage in a disinformation campaign. Brian Senewiratne did. He began this campaign in 2006 after he was invited by the expatriate Tamil organization Ilankai Tamil Sangam to speak at their Annual General Meeting in the USA. At the meeting, he suggested that what was needed was a video presentation about Sri Lanka to provide background to the conflict, and then offered to produce such a video, accepting donations for the promised DVDs.

When he got back to Australia he investigated how much it would cost to make the videos professionally, writing to the Tamil expatiates in the Tamilnet and Sangam websites that it would have cost $4,000 each which would have “sent him to the wall”. Instead, he decided to make the videos unprofessionally himself, using his own video camera and the assistance of his elderly wife to turn the camera on and off. The clumsy propaganda videos took the form of lectures to an empty room in the dark, where he pointed to slides projected onto their living room wall. Into these monologues he had one of his ex-students insert photos and later short videos from the LTTE (Tamil Tiger) propaganda archives.

Brian Senewiratne made several versions of the video between 2006 and 2009, to which he gave what he thought would be catchy titles: “The New Killing Fields of Asia”, “The Future of the Tamils at Stake”, “Sri Lanka: Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity, Violation of International Law” etc. The 13 “DVDs” also included recordings of speeches he gave to LTTE-supporting audiences between 2006 and 2009. After his side lost the war, he has continued promoting these DVDs and even in 2018 he has urged the Tamil expatriates in Canada that one of the things they needed to do to achieve “peace and justice” in Sri Lanka is to distribute his writings and DVDs.

Brian Senewiratne’s Political Agenda

Brian Senewiratne maintained for several decades that he had no political agenda or anything to gain from his involvement in the “Tamil struggle”. This was to increase his credibility, and he made many derogatory comments about politicians and disparaged them as a group. He also made much of being of Sinhalese ethnicity (though he knows little of the language), being a “Christian” (though he doesn’t go to Church or read the Bible) and his genetic relationship with the political Bandaranaike family, which he has denounced and defamed since the 1980s. He was routinely introduced for speeches and interviews as “the cousin of President Chandrika Kumaratunga” (they are second cousins) and then proceeded to attack her and her parents, saying that he “couldn’t help being born into the Bandaranaike family” but he was. He also denigrated the other Sri Lankan and Australian political leaders, but his greatest venom was directed at the Bandaranaike family and later the Rajapaksa family.

Revealing the lie of this denial of personal political aspirations, in 2008 Brian Senewiratne declared his ambition to be made the Foundation Professor of Medicine in a new University of Tamil Eelam if the LTTE won the war. This was to a staged, flag-waving crowd of thousands of Tamil Sri Lankans in Toronto, Canada, organized by the LTTE-supporting Tamil Diaspora, After the war was ended with the defeat of the LTTE, he accepted a political position as the “sole Sinhala senator” in the LTTE-supporting ‘Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam’ (TGTE), headed by the New York-based refugee lawyer Visuvanathan Rudrakumaran, who calls himself the “Prime Minister” of the TGTE. An uncharismatic man, he was the LTTE’s lawyer and negotiator during the war. Rudrakumaran still flies the LTTE flag on his desk in his YouTube presentations and gives propaganda speeches in a shrill monotone in Tamil and English, issues “press releases” and makes a general fool of himself, since no one sensible takes the TGTE seriously.

Vexatious Litigation by the TGTE

It appears that the TGTE believes that offense is the best form of defence. This expatriate organization has led the misguided campaign to refer Sri Lanka to the International Criminal Court for supposed “genocide” of Tamils since 1948, when the nation gained its independence from Britain. Brian Senewiratne, a long-time member of Amnesty International (he used to hold AI meetings in his house in Brisbane during the war), trained at the University of London and Cambridge in the 1950s. Britain provided a base for the Tamil Tiger propaganda machine, which was headquartered in London, initially at the Tamil Information Centre, back in the 1980s.

After the war ended with the military defeat of his side, Brian Senewiratne convinced the TGTE to employ the Australian-British barrister Geoffrey Robertson, to prepare vexatious charges against the Sri Lankan political and military leadership, charging them with “genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity”. Robertson made video presentations for the TGTE which were posted on YouTube, with little response from viewers. Back in 2009, at the end of the war, Brian Senewiratne had told a crowd of young Tamil Sri Lankans in Sydney, in speech through a megaphone, that he knew Robertson very well and that “he will charge these blaggards and drag them to the International Criminal Court”. As it turned out, Robertson was prepared to accept the case, but not pro bono. The TGTE still flies the LTTE flag at its functions and continues to glorify the Tamil Tigers and their leader, Prabakaran.

The first step to Truth and Reconciliation is truth. The truth is that the Tamil Tigers, with international backing, notably from India and Britain, declared war on the sovereign nation of Sri Lanka. It was a war of offense, and it is a war crime to start a war. It is also said that truth is the first casualty of war. However, the truth about the Tamil Tigers is emerging from first-hand accounts of their many victims. The loudest voices are not usually the wisest. This certainly applies to the shouting propagandists and apologists for the Tamil Tigers.

On Balaji Motamarri’s Directions

©2018 Romesh Senewiratne-Alagartatnam (MD)

I am writing this to express my strongest condemnation of the thinking and actions of Dr Balaji Motamarri towards me at the Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital and Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS) of which he is the director.

I have never met Dr Motamarri, and he has refused to speak to me, even on the phone, but I have been subjected to abusive diagnosis and treatment by a series of psychiatrists at the PA Hospital and its outpatient clinics since 2002, when I was locked up 5 times under the authority of Dr Paul Schneider, who continues to work as a senior psychiatrist at the hospital to this day. Schneider was acting on the wishes of my father, Dr Brian Senewiratne, who was a long-time consultant at the same hospital and a colleague of his. My father was also a long-time propagandist and lobbyist for the Tamil Tigers (LTTE) travelling the world campaigning for the Tamil Tigers to be de-banned. He claimed that the Tigers were “freedom fighters” rather than terrorists and argued, citing the example of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), that a “guerrilla army using guerrilla tactics on guerrilla soil” could never be defeated, though the fight may go on for hundreds of years.

My father began getting me locked up in 1995, when I first publicly criticised him. A man who holds grudges, he has had me locked up numerous times since then, prevented me from earning my living as doctor, and tried to discredit me by claiming that I was “in and out of mental hospitals” (which was true, but mainly because of his insistence that I had a “serious psychotic disorder” that required “assertive treatment”). To run salt into my wounds, my father presents himself as a champion of human rights and the rights of the oppressed.

Balaji Motamarri, my father and I all have Linkedin and Facebook accounts. What I know about Dr Motamarri comes from what he has made publicly available about himself and his qualifications, rather than personal discussions with him. I have seen him once, when he was pointed out by nursing staff one weekend, when I had been locked up again in 2016. It was a weekend and he was the on-call psychiatrist for the PA. I had been locked up for more than a week and wanted to go home. I wanted to see him so that he could see for himself that I was of sound mind. He didn’t even acknowledge my presence and ignored me completely. I have not seen him since, though the Nigerian psychiatrist who had got me locked up (again on the wishes of my father) kept me locked up for a few more days, and tried to convince me that I had “paranoid schizophrenia”. I pointed out that my long-standing claims that my father was a supporter and lobbyist for the LTTE was not paranoid, it was factual. She ordered that I be injected with the antipsychotic drug paliperidone and placed on an Involuntary Treatment Order (ITO) to enable easier return to the hospital if I become “unwell” again or refuse (the abusive) “treatment”.

Balaji Motamarri’s Linkedin page indicates that he speaks Hindi and Telugu and graduated in medicine at the Andhra Medical College in 1987. His Linkedin page says he has been a psychiatrist in Australia and “Clinical Director, Psychosis Academic Clinical Unit” for 19 years and 8 months (since Oct 1998). Below this it states that he has been ‘Clincal [sic] Director” of MSAMHS since 2012. Since he has been the clinical director of the “Psychosis Academic Clinical Unit” I have been locked up and injected on more than 20 occasions, always at the PA Hospital (one of several hospitals on Brisbane’s south-side that comes under the authority of the MSAMHS).

Despite graduating (in India) some years after I graduated at the University of Queensland, Balaji Motamarri’s Linkedin and Facebook pages do not suggest that he is computer literate. He also has an almost complete absence of academic publications to his name, yet he is supposedly the clinical director of the “Psychosis Academic Clinical Unit”.  As testament to his carelessness, even when confronted with the relatively simple task of listing his experience for Linkedin he made several typographical errors (in addition to ‘clincal’ instead of clinical): He says he is now (since October 2016) the Executive Director of “Clincial Services” of “Metrosouth Mental Health Services”. He hasn’t even got his own title right. This is the “Executive Director of the Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS)”.

Balaji Motamarri has 161 Linkedin contacts, including 14 mutual contacts with me. I have about 3500 contacts, including psychologists and psychiatrists from many countries, including India. I also have contacts relevant to my other areas of interest – neuroscience, medicine, meditation, music, human rights, law, Buddhism, journalism and politics. I have posted links to my music and publications on my Linkedin page, which are available to be read by my peers, including Balaji Motamarri. I have sent him a contact request but he hasn’t accepted it yet.

The University of Queensland lists one and only one publication co-authored by Balaji Motamarri. From 2012, and published in “Current Medical Research and Opinion” it is titled “Practical guidelines on the use of paliperidone palmitate on the treatment of schizophrenia”. PubMed lists 3 other papers for which he was a co-author, all published in Australian psychiatry newsletters and all promoting long-acting injectables, like paliperidone. Since I was locked up at the PA in 2012 I have been injected monthly with paliperidone on the orders of a series of psychiatrists answering to Balaji Motamarri. They started off by saying I had schizophrenia, then revised it to “psychotic disorder – not otherwise specified” before changing back to schizophrenia. My protestations that I have never had hallucinations, am motivated and sociable with a stable mood, am well-organized, rational and logical and am obviously of sound mind has fallen on deaf ears. The psychiatrists have consistently taken the side of my father against me and declared me to be “psychotic” and “delusional” to believe that he was maliciously motivated towards me, and that he was a propagandist and lobbyist for the LTTE.

Balaji Motamarri’s Facebook page provides a window into his social life in 2010. There are only 2 postings, from 26 December 2009 “Merry Christmas to all” and from 25 January 2010, when he has posted on his wall what he intended as a personal message to his friend Manju:

“Hi Manju. My apologies for not replying earlier. As you can understand we are ‘recovering’ from our trip – the trip of ‘Telengana Bandhs’. Hyderabad has become a city of uncertain nightmares. And to add to the issue, our daughter’s school is starting in 2 days time and you know the dramas associated with this – just imagine ‘school after 10 weeks on holidays’ – what a nightmare to the parents.”

Balaji Motamarri seems to be feeling sorry for himself because his daughter has to go back to school after 10 weeks of holiday (which he claims he needs to recover from) and this is a “nightmare to the parents”. I have never had nightmares about my daughters going to school, but I have had many nightmares about being locked up by Balaji Motamarri’s unit. In these nightmares I am trying to prove my sanity but am interminably kept waiting. Sometimes I am assaulted by men with needles. Sometimes I am looking for my bed but am faced with endless corridors. My most consistent nightmare is being kept waiting in the confines of the PA Hospital. I am also uncertain about what he meant my Hyderabad becoming a “city of uncertain nightmares”. I am certain about my nightmares. They are very vivid.

Balaji Motamarri has only 182 Facebook friends, and hasn’t made any new ones in recent years. However, when he first filled in the questionnaire for Facebook he enthusiastically listed the Indian educational establishments he studied at. His Intro lists:

Works at MSAMHS

Worked at CNAHS

Studied psychiatry at PGIMER Chandigarh

Studied MBBS at Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatman, India

He also includes three high schools, including one in Chennai, where he matriculated in 1979 (before starting medicine in 1981).

Everybody should be treated with respect, but seniority is an important concept in society and in the medical and academic hierarchies. One is expected to respect ones seniors, as one is expected to respect ones elders. This has a long tradition in the West as well as the East (including India). The MSAHMS boasts that it provides “respect” as ones of its core values. I matriculated in 1978, winning the Tyrwitt Cup for best academic student at the Church of England Grammar School in Brisbane. I was working as a young doctor looking after desperately sick children and at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital when Balaji Motamarri was still a medical student in India. While Motamarri was studying to become a psychiatrist I was looking after a community of 1000 mainly elderly patients, including many with complex illnesses (including mental health problems) as a family doctor in Melbourne. I have researched and lectured on mind-body medicine at Swinburne University in Melbourne, and my lectures can be viewed on YouTube, if Balaji Motomarri and his staff are interested to see what my state of mind was like in 2001 (when I was first misdiagnosed as having schizophrenia). They can even see the interview I gave in 1998 when I discussed my research into the pineal gland with Micheal Adami and the documentaries I have made about eugenics, psychiatry and AIDS (the theories that were diagnosed as ‘delusional’ by the psychiatrists in Melbourne).

I think I am owed the respect of a phone call with him to explain how and why his hospital is misguided to force a disease label and anti-psychotic drugs on me. I am also owed an apology for being locked up for raising uncomfortable truths and being denied my freedom of speech and my physical freedom. I am owed an apology, too, for being poisoned with drugs that have harmed my health and brought me no benefit, as well as putting me at risk of a range of iatrogenic adverse effects. At least I don’t have the added trauma of believing that I have an incurable brain disease.

Brian Senewiratne Collecting War Porn

I just confronted my father with collecting war porn.

I rang my parents’ home, where my father, Brian Senewiratne, has just returned after being awarded the second “Nelson Mandela Memorial Prize” by the TGTE. The TGTE is the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam, a front for the LTTE or Tamil Tigers, headed by the LTTE’s lawyer Visuvanathan Rudrakumaran who assumes the title of “Prime Minister”. Brian Senewiratne was appointed a senator by Rudrakumaran in 2010 when the organization was first formed from the American, British, European, Australian and Canadian vestiges of the Tamil Tigers international operations. The award was presented to a small audience of “Canadian Tamils” (as opposed to Tamil Canadians) in Toronto, Canada. The first time the Nelson Mandela Award was awarded (last year) it was given to the South African lawyer Yasmin Sooka, who Brian Senewiratne quotes extensively in his propaganda. He has also urged the employment of Sooka by the TGTE in a YouTube presentation he posted on his own YouTube channel in 2015.

I addressed my father before he could hang up the phone:

“I remember now. You were collecting atrocity photos on your computer during the war.”

“Oh, bugger off”. he grunted and hung up the phone.

This was the second time I have rung my parents’ house this morning. The first time I asked “Hello Amma?” and my father, who had picked up the phone but not answered it shouted to my mother, Kamalini:

“Camel, it’s that bugger again. Do you want to speak to him?”

My mother came to the phone and I told her I wanted to discuss Winston Panchacharam’s book (titled Genocide in Sri Lanka) that my father made a big show of “presenting” to Professor Ramu Manivannan at the TGTE’s award night on Saturday 15 April. I watched it on the internet and was shocked by what I saw. Since then, things have been falling into place and I realised that my father has been collecting “war porn”, short for “war pornography”.

I saw some of his collection of photos when I accessed one of his computers in 2007, but didn’t look at them in detail. They were graphic and disturbing photos of dead people and I wasn’t interested in looking at them. There were lots of them and he has several old computers. I had been asked to use the computer to access my mother’s emails for her, and didn’t realise the significance of the photos. Now I do.

I asked my mother yesterday to ask my father, who refused to speak to me on the phone (or in person) about Winston Panchacharam’s book after watching him explaining that he had all five copies of the book in existence and was “presenting” them, whenever he himself received “awards” from the TGTE to the TGTE’s inner circle – namely Usha Sriskandarajah and Visuvanathan Rudrakumaran, who he describes as “close friends” of his. They are also among the last remaining supporters of the LTTE.

My mother said she had “heard of” Panchacharam but pretended not to know anything about the book that her husband had made a show of presenting to Manivannan on Saturday. She is lying to protect him and I told her so. I told her he had claimed on Saturday to have met Nelson Mandela, which she and I know to be one of his many lies. “Maybe he did, I don’t know”. She does. She knows that if he met Nelson Mandela he would have been boasting about it, rather than boasting about meeting Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

I am sorry to people of Sri Lanka and also the Tamil community in Canada and around the world for my father’s behaviour, and not realising the full extent of his crimes earlier. I am still discovering more and will keep you posted. Please watch the video “Brian Senewiratne, the LTTE and Dr Panchacharam’s Book” on YouTube (the site of the Holistic University of Brisbane).

I have also contacted Ramu Manivannan, Usha Sri Skandarajah and Visuvanathan Rudrakumaran asking that the copies of Dr Panchacharam’s book that Brian Senewiratne gave them be forwarded to the University of Colombo, the Peradeniya University and University of Jaffna for forensic study, which I am prepared to be involved in.

Brian Senewiratne, the LTTE (Tamil Tigers) and Dr Panchacharam’s Book

On 15 May 2018 my father, Brian Senewiratne, was awarded the second ever “Nelson Mandela Memorial Award” by the leadership of the bogus Transnational ‘Government’ of Tamil Eelam (TGTE). The TGTE is a front for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), better known as the Tamil Tiger terrorist organization.
The award is the brainchild of Visuvanathan Rudrakumaran who assumes the title of “Prime Minister” of the TGTE and was previously one of the USA-based lawyers for the LTTE. The other was Karen Parker, an American woman who calls herself a “humanitarian lawyer” but acted as the legal adviser to the terrorist organization since the 1980s. Brian Senewiratne has described both Karen Parker and Visuvanathan Rudrakumaran as “close friends”.
Two years ago Rudrakumaran awarded his friend Brian with a “Lifetime Acievement Award” for which he travelled to the USA. He was awarded a plaque signed by Rudrakumaran praising him for his “life-long commitment and invaluable and dedicated contribution rendered to the Eelam Tamil Nation in educating the Sinhala Nation and the international community – in furthering the cause of human rights, human dignity, gender justice and of the liberation of Tamil Eelam”. In return Brian Senewiratne “awarded” Usha Sriskandarajah, who presented the TGTE award back, with a copy of Winston Panchacharam’s book, titled “Genocide in Sri Lanka”. He told Sriskandarajah that it was one of only three copies of the book in existence.
Last year Rudrakumaran thought of making the most of President Mandela’s name, fame and reputation and awarded the inaugural “Nelson Mandela Memorial Award” to the South African Tamil lawyer Yasmin Sooka. Sooka had criticised the Sri Lankan government of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the so-called Darusman Report, of which she was one of three authors. Later she wrote a report from her own organzation detailing reports of torture and sexual violations by Sri Lankan Tamil asylum seekers in Britain, who had been captured during and after the war. She admits in the report that these reports may have been compromised by desire to prove persecution in support of their asylum claims. This is the source of the information about alleged rape and sexual violence in Sri Lanka that Brian Senewiratne has repeated, misrepresented and further exaggerated in a self-published propaganda book that he took with him to Canada. He claimed, for example that the reports were from Tamils who had returned to the island and then been tortured and sexually abused, which he knows to be false. The book quotes Yasmin Sooka’s report selecting the most disturbing details, and twisting what she has written to allege that there is an “epidemic of rape by the armed forces” in northern Sri Lanka. Last weekend, in his “acceptance speech” he promoted what he called the “second edition” of his book shouting to the Tamil Canadian audience that while they were sitting down to dinner Tamil girls are being raped in Kilinochchi (the LTTE’s previous “capital”, a small town in the north of Sri Lanka). He claimed that it was for these raped women that he had “produced” the book.
He printed a few copies of this book after failing to find even an unreputable publisher for it. The “first edition”, 130 pages long, was self-published in 2014. Since then he has had it reprinted with minor variations, including changes in the title and cover. He gets them printed by his local printer Bosco Ng in small runs of 5-10 books. After he received his “award” from his friend and biggest fan, Usha Sriskandarajah, Brian Senewiratne used his “acceptance speech” to promote his “12 DVDs” to the obvious dismay of the frowning MC, who had asked the awardees to be brief in their speeches since they were running late and it was already past 9.30 pm. He said that the DVDs were free and invited the audience to contact him in the “next day or two” and tell him if they want “1,2,3,4,5 or the whole ruddy lot”. He stressed that he was not trying to make a “fast buck”, and the videos were free (previously he complained that he wasn’t being paid enough for them and that the Tamils were “the stingiest race on earth”). He then brandished his book (which he has been flogging with updated versions since 2014) alleging an epidemic of rape by the armed forces and urging that the United Nations invoke the R2P provisions and send troops to Sri Lanka to stop “ongoing genocide of the Tamils of the North and East”.
Brian Senewiratne makes things up, always to glorify himself. He is an egotist. In his acceptance speech he claimed to have met Mandela (he actually met Desmond Tutu in 2008, in a lobbying trip arranged by the LTTE that also took him to Canada). In the speech he claims, falsely, that he met Mandela himself and that the South African legend had arranged for him to go to Robben Island to see the conditions he was kept for 25 years in. This is a blatant lie as is his claim that he told Mandela “The thing that is remarkable about you is that you are not bitter” to which Mandela replied “If I was bitter I wouldn’t be Nelson Mandela”.
Brian Senewiratne is a very bitter man. He is bitter about many things, but especially so about the Sri Lankan Armed Forces and their political leadership for defeating “his side” is the war in Sri Lanka. His side was his own personal aggrandisement and money for the poisonous propaganda he produced from his home in Brisbane, Australia. This propaganda demonised his own race, the Singhalese and the Buddhist clergy in particular as well as the Sri Lankan political and military leadership. Brian Senewiratne calls himself a “Christian” but never reads the bible or go to church. He claims that he prays while he’s in the toilet and closed the door, quoting a passage from the Bible to justify this bizarre practice (to pray in ones “closet” rather than make a show of public prayer).
The cardinal principles of Christianity include humility, sincerity, truth, charity, kindness and forgiveness, but my father is an insincere liar who has held grudges all his life. He is cruel, spiteful and malicious towards those that he doesn’t like and he dislikes anyone who opposes him. Jesus of Nazareth had harsh words for hypocrites, and my father is a glaringly hypocritical individual. He shouts about “human rights” in public but violates them at home and in secret. He is also an egotist who is ruthlessly manipulative and Machiavellian.
This short documentary is about my father’s relationship with the truth and the mystery of Winston Panchacaram’s book, titled “Genocide in Sri Lanka” and published by Panchacharam and unknown others at the now non-existent International Tamil Center in New York. In 2011 Brian Senewiratne boasted to an audience at a small human rights seminar in Darwin, Australia (James Cook University) that the book had just been published and that he had all the copies. He made a big show of presenting a copy of Panchacharam’s book to the university and drew attention to the last page which contains the rhetorical question, “IF THIS IS NOT GENOCIDE, THEN WHAT IT?” in large red and yellow capital letters on a stark black background. It is primitive propaganda, but Brian Senewiratne is unaware of how obvious it is.

Brian Senewiratne he said he had all 5 copies of this book, but it was no longer available. He then explained where each of the five copies is destined – to Usha Sri Skandarajah (who he claimed is the greatest Tamil writer alive today, to brief applause from a couple of people); Visuvanathan Rudrakumaran (boss of the TGTE); Professor Ramu Manivannan of Madras University (who wrote another book alleging genocide of Tamils called Hiding the Elephant); the Jaffna Library and – this was his applause-seeker – the last copy to be put in his bank and presented after his death to the “Library of Tamil Eelam when it is built in Kilinochchi”. He stressed that he said “when and not if”, and received the applause he was seeking, but it was very muted compared to the hysterical reception he received from the Canadian Tamils when he was the star attraction at the Tamil Pongu ceelebration in Toronto in 2008.

Winston Panchacharam’s Book

On November 21, 2016 Usha Sriskandarajah, who presented the “award” to my father, wrote, on the death of Winston Panchacharam:

“Author of ‘Genocide in Sri Lanka’ passes away. Today I was saddened to hear of the demise of Dr Winston Panchacharam, President, International Tamil Center – USA, the driving force behind the limited edition book: ‘Genocide in Sri Lanka’, a pictorial and coffee table book, made for private circulation, published especially for global leaders, “to act quickly and follow through to protect the dying Tamil Race in Sri Lanka.” Although I have never met Dr Panchacharam, I had the good fortune of receiving from Dr. Brian Senewiratne – one of three books left in his possession. After presenting one to me – wow – of the two copies that he has remaining, Dr Senewiratne said he will be donating one to the Jaffna Library and the other to the Tamil Eelam Library!”

She published, on her Facebook page, a photo of Brian Senewiratne’s dedication to her with “with sheer admiration and gratitude from Brian”, and a photo of him “awarding her” (on 15.5.2016) with one of his remaining three copies of the book (On 21 November 2016). However YouTube reveals that in November 2011 he donated a copy of the book, along with 10 of his propaganda DVDs to the James Cook University in Darwin, where he had been invited to give a talk on “Who’s Afraid of Human Rights”.

Eelaventhan, who is another geriatric TGTE boss (he’s 86, the same age as Brian Senewiratne), wrote an obituary for Winston Panchacharam on 20th November 2016, published on the Tamil Sangam website, in which he wrote, in bad English:

“Besides he authored the book titled “GENOCIDE IN SRI LANKA” that contains 185 pages published in the year 2010. For the point of view of many readers the contents of the book was a masterpiece. This will be cherished for generations to follow. In his introductory note he addressing “ Your excellencies-Global leaders for the protection of the vulnerable and those oppressed people by genocidal act. In his appeal for the global public opinion, Tamil Diaspora, and the dying race of Tamils in Sri Lanka. He further states that the global leaders must act quickly, and follow through, to protect the dying Tamil race in Sri Lanka. He rightly says that “Justice delayed is Justice buried” . He further adds that neglect of timely violence prevention is a sad legacy that has led to genocide in several countries; from the holocaust to the massacres in Uganda and Sudan. Millions of life has been lost. He continues in a very appealing tone that “ smoldering genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka that started insidiously over half a century ago culminated in several coordinated massacres before , during and after the civil war.”

I would like to know how Winston Panchacharam died, who his doctors were and what sort of fatal disease he had. I would also like to know the source of the photos in the book and how it was that Brian Senewiratne had all 5 copies, if the book was intended for world leaders to act with urgency to save the Tamil people from genocide. The text is likely to be disinformation if it is based on what Brian Senewiratne told Panchacharam, but the photos are important forensic evidence regarding the war in Sri Lanka. It is outrageous and very suspicious that Brian Senewiratne has acquired control of this material (the atrocity photos in the book) and is keeping it within his close circle within the LTTE-supporting TGTE. I believe that it should be in the hands of Sri Lankan police and forensics experts, and is important evidence regarding war crimes and crimes against humanity by the Tamil Tigers.
